"This mix was 100% NOT live. Edited in a computer with keyboard and mouse only. Instead of using generic DJ tools (EQ and filters) all processing comes from custom DSP and software I have made over the years.
The last year has been marked with tragedy and grief. It has not saddened me, but affected me greatly. One result is that I rarely listen to music anymore. I have been content to hear the sounds of downtown Portland from my city gallery as my new soundscape. It mostly consists of yelling and car traffic and car stereos and occasionally a bike accident.
This mix represents most of the music I have chosen to listen to since that time. All tracks share the only things that interest me anymore: a specific mournful sound, a not-dance-music rhythm or academic digital sound research.
